'Books, we cannot live without them!'
This won the first ever World Book Day Award, earning the school £10,000 worth of books for their library.
A year later, the song became the first official World Book Day anthem.
Show Racism the Red Card (1)
This short film, featuring an original song, rap and animation by the children at Hexthorpe Primary School, won the overall prize in the national Show Racism the Red Card competition.
Children won a trip to Old Trafford, home of Manchester united, to collect their prize.
We'd go on to win this prize three times!
'The Nit Nurse' song
This fun video was entered into the Matilda the Musical competition.
Beware! Beware! Better hold onto your hair!
'Is it Jekyll or is it Hyde?'
Working with Year 6 children, we wrote, recorded and animated this fun yet atmospheric short film.
It was shortlisted in the IntoFilm Awards and children got to see it screened at the National Media Museum.
'An Ode to David Walliams'
During an after-school club, children made this video to persuade favourite author David Walliams to visit their town. Unfortunately he was too busy... but it was fun to make anyway!
Space Jam recreated!
This fun tribute to the Looney Tunes classic won the children an in-school cinema experience from IntoFilm.
Yes, we have no Bananas!
I worked with adults with special needs to create this fun video to commemorate World War II.
I'm a True Reader!
Children created this video for the Doncaster Book Awards. At the event, they danced in front of it onscreen after working with a professional choreographer.
The Wonderland Rap
A bit of fun to celebrate World Book Day based on the book the children were reading in class.
Space Race 1969
This video was made while children were studying space.
Arcimoldo animation
This was one of the first videos I made with a school group. It was lots of fun (and quite messy) bringing fruits, vegetables and branches in to create the portraits.
Egyptian God song
There are lots and lots and lots and lots and lots of gods!
Broccoli, carrots, peas and beans!
A song and animation to promote healthy eating.
Dylicia's Diary
This film was shortlisted in the Diabetes in School Short Film Competition from Diabetes UK. The winning children visited BAFTA in London to collect their prizes and see their movie on the big screen.
Show Racism the Red Card (2)
This was our second overall win in the national competition. It is a tribute to the 'first professional black footballer' Arthur Wharton who lived nearby.
Show Racism the Red Card (3)
This time I led Atlas Academy in winning the overall competition.
It's a hat-trick!
War of the Worlds
I worked with secondary school students in writing poetry based on their core text, then illustrating and recording this video.
